The City of Flagstaff, an Equal Opportunity Employer, is seeking qualified
candidates for the position of Police Emergency Communications Specialist, without regard to race, color,
creed, gender or ethnic origin, to establish an eligibility list for current and
future openings in the Police Department.
Responsible for taking calls from the public and processing or dispatching the
calls to appropriate personnel. Duties also include routine clerical work
associated with dispatching and other police work.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING
College course work or degree in a related field.
Familiarity with Flagstaff geography.
Familiarity with Microsoft Windows and/or NT workstation environments.
All emergency service employees shall maintain their principal residence within
a prescribed area.
Ability and willingness to work all swing shifts, including days, evenings,
graveyards, weekends, and holidays.
Willingness to wear a uniform.
Must possess or obtain upon employment a valid Arizona driver's license.
