Under the direct supervision of the Chief of Police, the Physical Security Systems Program Manager is responsible for all aspects of planning, facilitation, management and delivery of services for the campus physical security systems program, and crime prevention efforts. The Physical Security Systems Program Manager will play a key leadership role in the future maturation of the program including; scope definition, mission and establishment of design and operational standards.


Through collaboration and partnership, the incumbent leads the Physical Security Operations Team in crime prevention efforts and protecting people and assets through prevention, identification, assessment, management, and reduction of threats of violence and/or disruption of operations involving property owned, operated or controlled by the Regents.


The Physical Security Systems Program Manager maintains an active leadership role developing and executing complex security plans for key projects. In addition, the Physical Security Systems Program Manager is responsible for creating and deploying policies, procedures, operational standards, construction and equipment standards and other related activities that support campus wide operations of all physical security and safety initiatives, programs, and activities. The manager serves on various campus wide planning teams as the lead representative for the physical security systems program and provides leadership for all aspects of program development and policy compliance.


The Physical Security Program Manager serves as a critical leader in the prevention of crime and protection of people and assets. Utilizing Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) standards, the manager will provide assessment, identification, review and operational integration for all physical security systems for Regents properties, including the integration of the university ID card program.


The Physical Security Systems Program Manager will also maintain knowledge of new innovations and trends to develop and deliver general and threat-specific training to various stakeholder groups. The Physical Security Systems Program Manager will identify various system integrators, collaborate in the coordination of installation and maintenance services.


The Physical Security Systems Program Manager will supervise employees as assigned by the Chief of Police or designee.



Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor degree or higher from an accredited institution of higher education, or progressive work experience in security field equivalent to a degree, or a combination of both. 

  • Minimum five (5) years experience and responsibility managing complex and enterprise security programs and projects.

  • Minimum of four (4) years experience with administration of Information Technologies (IT) based systems and databases.

  • Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of physical security system design, and experience managing C-Cure 9000 Security and Event management System.

  • Comprehensive working knowledge of pertinent federal and state law regarding management of security standards, records management, privacy, and confidentiality.
