The Village of Channahon currently has two openings for patrol officers and is accepting applications for lateral transfer. Applicants must be certified by the State of Illinois and have at least two years full-time experience.
 


Qualifications:

  • Permanent, legal resident of the United States

  • Must be a certified Police Officer (Illinois Law Enforcement Training Standards Board)

  • 2 years police officer experience

  • Valid Illinois Drivers license

  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • Ability to meet job related physical requirements


Benefits:

  • Starting Salary $58,416 - $61,045

  • Currently on 12 hour shift schedule

Selection Process:

  1. Application and credential review.

  2. Oral Interview by Police Hiring Panel.

  3. Background investigation, including polygraph.

  4. Medical examination and psychological evaluation upon conditional offer of employment.
