The Elk Grove Village Police Department is committed to ensuring public safety through law enforcement, education and exceptional service, while performing with the highest level of integrity and assuring all individuals dignity and respect.  The Elk Grove Village Police Department is dedicated to operating a professional law enforcement agency, sensitive to the needs of the people it serves.  The Department has been and continues to be a leader in developing specialized programs to meet the needs of the community.


The Elk Grove Village Police Department is seeking a current or retired Supervisory Sworn Police Officer with the rank of Sergeant or higher for the position of the Police Services Coordinator.  The Police Services Coordinator will manage CALEA (the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc.), the Red Light Program, the CERT Program, and other duties or special projects as assigned by the Elk Grove Village Police Department.




  • Completion of 60 credit hours of college course work or an Associate’s Degree required, with a Bachelor’s Degree preferred, as well as a minimum of five years of supervisory experience as a Police Officer in any law enforcement agency located in the State of Illinois, such as municipality, city or county.

  • The Police Services Coordinator requires strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment.

  • Must provide exceptional customer service at all times. 

  • Proficiency required in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook, as well as Adobe software.

  • Experience using GIS software and scanning equipment preferred.

  • The effectiveness of the position can be measured by its ability to monitor and coordinate the Police Services provided to the department and the community in a consistent, uninterrupted manner by working with the Department Heads in identifying problems and recommending alternatives and solutions.




40 hours per week




$58,353 to $82,099 Annually
