The Glencoe Public Safety Commission is announcing an examination for the entry-level position of Public Safety Officer in the Public Safety Department.

 

The Public Safety Department is a fully cross-trained department, one of only a handful in the country – Public Safety Officers are fully cross-trained to serve as police officers, firefighters and medics.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • U.S. citizenship at the time of application

  • Valid driver's license

  • At least 20 years and 6 months as of the date of the written exam, and under age 35 unless an exception listed in Glencoe Public Safety Commission Rules and Regulations applies

  • High school diploma or GED

  • 60 hours of college credit

  • Valid POWER test card, issued within 6 months prior to the date of application
