All completed applications WITHOUT EXCEPTION must be returned to the Clerk’s Office no later than 5:00 P.M. on March 22, 2013.

Application fee is $30.00 when obtained, NON-REFUNDABLE.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Applicants shall be U.S. Citizen at least 21 years and under 35 years of age or otherwise qualified as provided by Section 10-2.1-6 of the Illinois Municipal Code (65 I.L.C.S. 5/10-2.1-6)

• High School graduate or equivalent

• Valid Driver's License

• Must present a Northern Illinois Public Safety Training Academy (NIPSTA) Power Test Identification Card showing satisfactory completion dated no earlier than April, 2012 along with a valid Driver’s License on the written test date.  See www.nipsta.org.

• Able to pass written & oral tests, background check plus fingerprint check, psychological, polygraph tests and medical examination
