The Village of Justice is seeking highly qualified certified Police Officers to join our professional and progressive Police Department.

Salary:  The laterally hired officer shall be compensated for years of service up to five (5) years.  The current starting pay range for the year 2008 is $48,969-$55,327.

Schedule:  Twelve (12) hour shift schedule, example: 3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off, 2 days on, 2 days off, pattern repeats.  Three shifts per day: 0700-1900hrs, 1500hrs-0300hrs, and 1900-0700hrs.

Residency:  No residency requirement

Experience Requirements: 

Minimum of twenty-four (24) months of uninterrupted service with the past forty-eight (48) months, in a full time capacity with one or more recognized Illinois police agencies and has obtained certification through the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board.

Qualifications:

-  Must be able to pass oral interview, background investigation, polygraph test, psychological evaluation, and medical examination.

-  Possess a valid Illinois Drivers License

-  High School Graduate or GED

-  Must be a U.S. citizen
