We are currently seeking a part time Security Officer who will be responsible for ensuring a secure work environment and provides protection to associates, visitors and the company from illegal acts. The Security Officer may monitor points of access in the building to allow entry only to individuals with the correct identification or authorization. In emergency situations, the Security Officer may provide first aid or assistance as first responders. The Security Officer is expected to maintain strong lines of communication with all internal and external customers and is entrusted with a high level of confidentiality. Security Officers are required to perform all tasks in a safe manner consistent with company policies and state and federal laws, while demonstrating the values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity and safety.


Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Strong commitment for security

  • Conduct daily activities and make reports as directed

  • Provides first aid to associates as needed

  • Monitor of team members, visitors, vehicles and equipment entering and exiting the facility to ensure compliance with company policy and procedures

  • Provide feedback to Management or Human Resources of any exceptions, incidents or pertinent information

  • Ensure that all Company security standards, policies and procedures are maintained

  • Ensure the buildings integrity

  • Warns violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, soliciting, smoking or carrying forbidden articles

  • Watches for and reports irregularities, such as fire hazards, leaking water pipes, and security doors left unlocked

  • Observes departing personnel to guard against theft of company property

  • Sounds alarm or calls police or fire department by telephone in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons

  • Permits authorized persons to enter property

  • Will be responsible for the safe use and care of company equipment that may be assigned

  • As assigned by Security Officer In Charge or Management

  • May be responsible for closing the LTD facilities as needed, following a closing procedure as designated by Security Management

  • Adhere to all Safety warnings and regulations throughout the warehouse



  • 2 to 4 years of experience, Preferred Active or Retired Police Personnel

  • Maintain a current understanding of First Aid and its proper applications

  • Must be in good physical condition to stand or walk for extended periods of time

  • Must be able to demonstrate the use of common sense and good judgment

  • Maintain constructive support of LTD's policies and procedures

  • Ability to preserve confidentiality of information

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals

  • Ability and willingness to move with purpose and a strong sense of urgency

  • Accuracy and attention to detail

  • Must be able to express himself clearly and effectively

  • Must be able to produce a written statement of an occurrence that is organized and detailed

  • Must be able to effectively share information with other work units for coordinated efforts in solving crimes

  • Must be able to willingly cooperate with fellow workers and treat everyone with equal dignity

  • Accepts direction/criticism

  • Must have good written/verbal communication skills

  • Consistently promote an outstanding public image


Educational Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

Professional Certifications or Requirements:

  • Firearms training and state registration for armed positions
