Village of Mundelein has an opening for a full time Telecommunicator to dispatch Police, Fire and Emergency Medical Service Units, monitor fire band for mutual aid calls, answer incoming 9-1-1 calls, and radio communications directed to Police Department.  Monitor radio traffic to keep appraised of field situations.

Requirements:

• A high school degree or equivalent

• Ability to obtain and maintain required certifications, including L.E.A.D.S. and EMD

• Two years previous experience desired

• Must work rotating shifts, weekends and holidays

• Must remain calm in emergency situations

• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of background investigation and drug screen

Starting salary $45,139 with excellent benefits.
