NOTICE OF EXAMINATION

FIREFIGHTER/PARAMEDIC

OSWEGO FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT

The Board of  Fire Commissioners of the Oswego Fire Protection District, Kendall and Will Counties, Illinois seeks applicants to establish an eligibility list for full-time entry level firefighter/paramedics.

All candidates must:

• Have earned the EMT-P II certification

• Have earned the State of Illinois Firefighter II certification by time of initial hire

• Have a valid CPAT certification at time of application

Application packets will be available for pickup from July 28, 2008 through August 8, 2008 at:

Oswego Fire Protection District Headquarters Station

59 Main Street

Oswego, IL

weekdays between the hours of 8:00 am and 4:00 pm

A nonrefundable application fee of $25.00 shall be due and payable to the Oswego Fire Protection District at the time that applications are obtained.  All application packets and all required attachments must be returned to this same address no later than 4:00 pm on August 15, 2008.

A mandatory orientation session and a written examination will be held on August 23, 2008 beginning at 8:00 am.
