The Board of Fire and Police Commissioners, City of Ottawa, IL is accepting applications to establish a Patrol Officer Register.

 

 

Applicants must:

  • Be 21 years of age and under 35 years of age as of October 12, 2016

  • Be in excellent physical health

  • Be of good moral character

  • Have a valid driverís license

  • Be a United States citizen

  • Have a high school diploma from an accredited institution or equivalent; The Board reserves the right to determine the sufficiency of the high school diploma or its equivalent

 

CANDIDATES MUST PROVIDE AT TIME OF APPLICATION A POWER CARD ISSUED ON OR AFTER OCTOBER 12, 2015 BY JOLIET JUNIOR COLLEGE (JJC). CANDIDATES MUST CONTACT JJC AT 815-280-2674 TO SCHEDULE THE POWER TEST OR WWW.JJC.EDU/POWERTESTING. COST OF TESTING IS AT CANDIDATE'S EXPENSE.

Candidates that receive a score of 70% or greater will be scheduled for an oral interview on November 19, 2016.
