About Our Community
 

Park City is a progressing suburban community with a population of 6800. Park City is located 32 miles north of the City of Chicago, between the City of Waukegan and the Village of Gurnee in the heart of Lake County, Illinois. Park City is mostly residential but also has a medical corridor, and a good balance of retail and industry.

 

 

Requirements

  1. U. S. Citizen

  2. Possess a High School Diploma or G.E.D.

  3. Must possess the Illinois Basic or STTAR/PEP Course prescribed by the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board or successful completion of a basic training program of similar content and number of hours, found acceptable by the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board for waiver of minimum training standards (50 Illinois Compiled Statutes Act 705)

  4. At least 21 years of age

  5. Be of good moral character, having no felony convictions, serious misdemeanors as specified in 65 ILCS 5/10-2.1-6

  6. Must be in good physical condition

  7. Have or be able to obtain a valid Illinois Driver’s License
