A new countywide organization, Tazewell County Consolidated Communications, has been formed through inter-governmental agreement to provide county-wide 9-1-1 call-taking and dispatch services. The organization is controlled by a governing board which desires to hire an Assistant Director. The proposed organization will have 34 employees and a beginning annual budget of approximately $3.2m.
Assistant Director's Salary Range:
$70K - $85K per year plus benefits, based on credentials and experience
The employee in this position assists the Director in overseeing and managing 2 regional 9-1-1 Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs) providing dispatch for multiple law enforcement, fire, and ambulance services within Tazewell County. The Assistant Director provides support in the planning, organizing, staffing, direction, training and technology used to operate the PSAPs. A consultant firm has been retained to assist in the process.
