Performs general law enforcement duties which include problem solving,

STANDARDS FOR INITIAL CONSIDERATION:
-
Must be a
citizen of the United States
-
Must be at
least 21 years of age on the date of hire
-
No domestic
violence or felony criminal history
-
Bilingual
skills desired
-
Possess a
minimum of a high school diploma
-
Demonstrated
competency in customer service skills
-
Demonstrated
understanding of community policing concepts and a willingness to embrace a
community policing and problem solving approach to policing
-
Successfully
complete an aptitude, psychological and physical agility tests
-
Successfully
pass a complete background check, including polygraph examination
-
Pass medical
exam and drug/alcohol screening following a conditional offer of employment
-
Vision
correctable to 20/20
-
Possess a
valid Kansas driver’s license, a valid driver’s license in the state of
residence with the ability to obtain a Kansas driver’s license within 30 days
after the employment date

Applicants must live in Lyon County
or be willing to relocate to Lyon County if selected for employment
