The next test
for police officer is October 11, 2008
Application Deadline:
5:00 p.m. October 3, 2008
Applicant Requirements:
-
U.S. Citizen 21 - 44 years of age,
a person 45 years of age or older are not eligible for a
beginning position as a police officer
-
Have a high school diploma or G.E.D.
with 60 accredited college credit hours; OR
-
Four years military experience with 30
accredited college hours from an accredited college or university.
(Accreditation must be from one of the six regional associations of colleges and
schools as follows: MSACHE, NEACHE, NCACHE, NWASC, SACSCC or WASC); OR
-
Be eligible for certification from
TCLEOSE (Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Standard and Education) and two
years prior peace officer experience for a city, county, state or federal law
enforcement agency (Military Police experience is not considered regular
full-time peace officer experience)
-
Cannot be on probation for any
offense on the date of the civil service test
-
Possess a valid Texas driver’s
license and have no more than two events (moving violations or accidents) in the
24 months preceding the date of application
All applicants must provide the following documentation at time of application:

transcripts must be originals or certified copies)

Birth Certificate (original or
certified copy)

Form DD-214 - Applicants with
military service will have 5 points added to their raw test score provided they
submit a DD-214 stating an Honorable discharge
