Position Details

The Village is seeking an energetic, highly motivated individual to fill the role of Records Clerk in the Police Department.

Reporting to the Records Supervisor, the Records Clerk complies, updates and maintains accurate records of all necessary files and prepares Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests for the department, including downloading and uploading of media files.  This position also assists the public either in person or via telephone by answering questions, screening and referring calls or taking messages as appropriate.

Qualifications:

• Must possess a high school diploma or GED and general knowledge of computer operations.
• Must possess or be able to obtain certifications in LEADS Specialized Agency Inquiry, FOIA, and Body Worn Camera systems and related software.
• One year of general clerical experience is a plus.
