Entry-Level Police Officer Hiring Process

Minooka Police Department

Minooka, Illinois

The Board of Police Commissioners of the Village of Minooka, Illinois is accepting applications for Entry-Level Police Officer Applicants with the Minooka Police Department.

Immediate openings are available.

All applicants must meet the following minimum requirements established by the Village of Minooka:

U.S. Citizen or compliant with 55 ILCS 5/3-6033;
Minimum of 21 years of age AND shall be under the age of 35 by the application deadline date (May 11, 2026) unless exempt from such age limitation as provided in Section 5/10-2.1-6 of the Fire and Police Commissioner's Act;
Be a high school graduate or possess a G.E.D. equivalent;
Possess a valid State of Illinois driver's license;
Must agree to comply with all requirements of the position and have the ability to pass all examination and training requirements, including, but not limited to: background investigation, psychological, and medical examination, etc.;
No felony or certain misdemeanor convictions;
Pay a $20.00 non-refundable application processing fee;
Application Deadline is Monday, May 11, 2026;
On-line written Examination to be conducted between Wednesday, May 20, 2026 at 9:00 AM and Friday, May 22, 2026 at 4:00 PM.

Preference Points will be awarded for military, education, and member of Minooka Police explorer program.
