Position Details

The Village of Phoenix Illinois is currently seeking state of Illinois certified police officers.

Immediate openings for part-time Police Officers.

Minimum qualifications:

• 21 years of age
• U.S. Citizen
• High school graduate or equivalent
• Valid Driver's license
• Valid FOID card
• Good moral character
• Good mental and physical condition
• No felony convictions; no misdemeanor convictions
• Willingness to work weekends and holidays

The applicant will perform duties to include but not limited to:

• Enforce traffic, criminal laws and local ordinances
• Provide both emergency and non-emergency response/services
• Write police reports/issue citations when necessary
• Attend monthly court
• Work a minimum of 8 days a month

All qualified applications will be required to:

• Pass an oral interview
• Pass a personal credit check
• Pass a thorough background Investigation
• Pass a pre-employment drug screening, and possibly a psychological evaluation after acceptance of appointment
