Firefighter Minimum Requirements:

• U.S. Citizenship
• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid Illinois Driver's License
• Valid IL EMT- Basic certification
• Illinois Firefighter II or Basic Operations Firefighter Certificate issued by the OSFM
• 21 to 35 years of age by date of hire unless otherwise exempt by statute
• CPAT and Ladder Climb verification (cards valid if issued 6/25/2020- 6/25/2021) must also be valid at time of hire (12 months prior to date of hire)
• IDPH Paramedic License by time of hire 

Testing Information:

Candidates must attend the mandatory written exam on:

Saturday, July 24, 2021

Doors for sign-in open at 8:30 AM - please arrive no later than 9:00 AM with a photo ID (driver's license, state ID) to sign-in. No late admittance.

The testing location will be provided to eligible candidates prior to the exam date.

Candidates that successfully pass the written exam will be invited to attend an oral interview on:

Saturday, August 14, 2021 or Sunday, August 15, 2021

Exact details for the oral interviews will be provided to those eligible.
