Management Analyst (Part-Time)

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

DAY IN THE LIFE:

Part-time independent project-based position which assists in the administration, coordination, and implementation of various governmental functions and special programs/projects within the police department. 

This position is under the direct supervision of the Detective Commander of Investigations.

• Research & data analysis on public policies & strategic initiatives
• Long and short term projects that collaborate & give exposure to working with many different sections
• Provide data for management decisions

DRIVE PROJECTS & INITIATIVES LIKE:

• Analysis on traffic crash statistics and ongoing crime trends
• Safety data that is used to guide City projects 

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

• Working knowledge of the theory, principles, practices and methods of police crime analysis and research methodologies
• Proven experience using statistics and data analysis to provide recommendations
• Highly skilled in Word, Excel, Access, Outlook and PowerPoint
• 2+ years' experience in data analysis, trend analysis, research methods, statistics, and experience producing reports and presenting materials in a formal meeting environment
• Bachelor's degree required. Preference given to degrees in Criminal Justice, Computer Science, Math, Statistics, Public Administration or closely related fields.
• Eligible to complete current Law Enforcement Agencies Data System (LEADS) less than full access certification.
