The Board of Fire and Police Commissioners for the City of Geneva is now accepting applications for the position of: Entry Level Firefighter/Paramedic
Testing is being conducted for anticipated hiring and to establish an Eligibility List for future hiring needs.
The Geneva Fire Department, formed in 1895, originally consisted of 14 members. Today, the Department is home to more than 60 members with five chief officers, a fire marshal, administrative assistant, 17 full-time and 40 paid-on-call firefighters.
An advanced life support ambulance service is provided by eight private contract paramedics. All of these groups work together as a combination department serving 24,500 residents in the City and Township of Geneva.
