The City of Park Ridge's Police Department is seeking dedicated and professional applicants for the position of Police Records Technician.

This position provides operational and administrative support to the City Police Department.

Highlighted Functions:

• Provide customer service to internal and external customers, resolves customer questions;
• Responds to information requests from staff and the public;
• Enters and retrieves data from various software systems;
• Performs case review and validation; uploads case reports into records management system; verifies accuracy of report and classification submittal to the state; and maintains availability and confidentiality of Police records;
• Prepares documents for court proceedings as required;
• Develops, maintains and updates departmental databases. Maintains cumulative records and conducts periodic audits as necessary. 

Qualifications, Requirements and Experience:

• High School diploma/equivalent;
• Two (2) years previous experience in an administrative support position;
• Previous experience in public safety work environment preferred;
• LEADS Certification to be attained upon hire.
• This is considered a basic office duty position
