Position Details

The Freeport Fire Department is currently recruiting for full-time Firefighter/EMT-B positions.

The application period will be open through:

October 29, 2021 - 4 PM

Minimum requirements for this position are:

• Candidates between 21 to under 35 years of age, unless otherwise exempt by state statute
• U.S. Citizenship
• Valid Drivers License
• High School graduate or GED
• Valid EMT-B issued by IDPH at the time of application AND valid at time of hire
• Residency with a radius of 20 miles from City Hall upon completion of probationary period
• Proof of valid International Associations of Fire Chiefs (IAFC) - International Association of Firefighters (IAFF) Candidate Physical ability test (CPAT) required - at time of interview
