Position Details

The Village of Roselle, IL (population 22,763) is seeking one (1) Full-time Community Service Officers.

Roselle is located in the northwest suburbs of Chicago.

The position works 12-hour rotating shifts, which includes nights, holidays and weekends with the possibility of both scheduled and/or unscheduled overtime.

This is a uniformed civilian position within the police department.

Responsibilities include:

• Working with the public
• Parking enforcement
• Ordinance investigations and enforcement
• Traffic accident reporting
• Animal control
• Traffic control
• Assisting with processing and prisoner checks
• Related duties as required
• Community Service Officers are also cross-trained for limited desk relief as a back-up to police records functions. 

Applicants for this position must:

• Be at least 18 years old
• Possess a high school diploma or GED
• Possess a valid driver's license
