Position Details

The City of Earlville Police Department is seeking qualified applicants to fill the position of Full-Time Police Officer with the Police Department.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 21 years of age or older
• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• Minimum State of Illinois Part-Time Law Enforcement Certification
• No Felony convictions or criminal history indicating moral turpitude
• Open Availability to include nights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to pass any requirements including, but not limited to, physical and drug screen
• Ability to pass in-depth criminal, personal, and financial background investigation
• Residency requirement of 30 miles from city limits within one year of employment.

The Earlville Police Department covers a city of nearly 1800 citizens in northwest LaSalle County, and is staffed by both full time and part time police officers with varying degrees of experience. Applications returned will be kept on file for up to 1 year.
