Bedford Park Fire Department Eligibility Testing

Mandatory Orientation:

January 22, 2022

8:30 AM

Written exam begins promptly at 9:00 AM

Oral Interviews:

January 24, 2022

Minimum Requirements:

• FF II/Basic Operations Firefighter (out-of-state equivalency must pass OSFM test as a condition of employment within 30 days)
• IDPH or National Registry EMT – Basic or Paramedic (must complete IDPH license as a condition of employment within 30 days)
• CPAT card issued within last 12 months
• Out-of-state applicants must live in state of Illinois within 6 months of hiring. 

Preference points will be awarded for:

• Military Service
• Full-time FD experience
• Education (college degree)
• Paramedic License
• Residency (Village of Bedford Park)
