Position Details

The UIC Police Department is seeking to fill multiple positions for Police Telecommunicator.

Police Telecommunicator receives, interprets and processes calls regarding emergency and non-emergency situations to appropriate and/or supporting agencies that include: UIH Hospital Security, University Police, University Facilities, Fire/EMS and Chicago Police Department. Police Telecommunicators work under general supervision of higher level personnel.

Required Minimum Qualifications:

1. No record of conviction of a felony or a crime involving moral turpitude.
2. High School graduation or GED.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1-2 years of experience in a call center environment or a high stress environment working with the public.
