New officers will start at: $66,913 before overtime
After one year, base pay increases to $72,820, and up to $83,969 after four years.
Including overtime, an officer with four years of experience at UIPD can earn more than $90,000.
Additionally, all employees receive a 100% tuition waiver at state universities, and employees with seven years of service get a 50% tuition waiver for their children.
