PROBATIONARY POLICE OFFICERS

Application packets to test for the Police Officer eligibility lists are available and must be submitted to:
City Human Resources Office
by 4:30 p.m., Friday, June 30, 2017
The eligibility list will become effective December 6, 2017.
Physical Agility Testing:
Will take place in September
Written Tests:
Will take place in October
Oral Interviews:
Will be conducted in November
Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:
Be at least 20 and not yet 35 at the time of appointment
HS diploma/GED required
Be physically fit and have good vision
Be a citizen of the U.S.
No felony convictions & pass background check
Pass agility, written, and oral examinations
Police Officer’s must have at least 30 credit hours of course work from an accredited college by the time of appointment
The City offers an excellent salary and benefits package.
The probationary period is 18 months for Police Officers.
