Position Details

SWCD is a modern technologically advanced, state-of art, multi-jurisdictional 911 dispatch center providing Police, Fire and EMS service to ten agencies encompassing a population over 107,000 people.

Previous experience in emergency dispatching within a computerized CAD environment in the area of Police, Fire and EMS, although not necessary, is a plus.

This position requires direct data entry and applicants should possess good keyboard skills and have a working knowledge of a Windows environment.

Applicants must:

• Have a high school diploma or the equivalent
• Understand and speak fluent English
• Possess a valid driver's license
• Pass written tests, and an oral interview
• Pass a complete psychological evaluation and physical examination including vision, hearing and drug testing
• Successfully pass an in-depth background investigation
