Position Details

The Village of Maple Park, Illinois is currently accepting applications from qualified individuals for the position of Part-Time Police Officer.

The Part-Time Police Officer position will perform all aspects of law enforcement duties.

The Village of Maple Park is currently staffed by all part time officers.

Minimum Qualifications:

• All applicants must be certified as a full-time officer and in good standing through the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board or are eligible for a waiver of training from the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board; or have successfully completed a Part-Time Police Academy
• Retired or recently separated officers in good standing from an Illinois Law Enforcement Agency
• 21 years of age
• High school graduate (or equivalent)
• Valid Illinois Driver's License
• Valid Illinois FOID Card
• No felony or domestic violence convictions
• Willing to work all shifts, weekends and holidays
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Good moral character
