Position Details

The Village of Mount Prospect, Illinois, population 55,127 is located along Metra's Union Pacific Northwest Line, 23 miles from downtown Chicago and five miles north of O'Hare International Airport.

The Village's Human Services Department is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Police Social Worker.

The Police Social Work position is an exempt professional position responsible for providing social work services to residents of Mount Prospect. This position is responsible for co-coordinating the Police Social Work program and providing crisis intervention, court advocacy, short-term counseling, case management and linkage to service for residents of Mount Prospect.

Qualifications: 

• The candidate must hold a Master's degree in Social Work. LSW is required, LCSW preferred.
• Experience in direct client services and crisis intervention is required.
• Fluency in either Spanish or Polish is preferred.
