Position Details

The Village of Matteson is seeking to hire Part-Time Records Clerks for the Police Department.

This position is responsible for record maintenance, customer service, clerical, and cashiering duties in support of law enforcement activities.  This includes preparation of a variety of reports and records for arrest reports, follow-up investigations, criminal complaints and other responsibilities detailed in the job description.

Qualifications: 

• A high school diploma and two years of related experience in police records or law enforcement are required.
• LEADS experience is preferred.
• Qualified applicants must be self-starters, possess excellent organizational skills, capable of working with limited supervision and comfortable interacting with the public. 

The Records Division operates 24 hours a day/7 days per week.  This is a part-time position, working 8-hour shifts (maximum of two shifts per week), and may require afternoons, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Successful applicants will be required to undergo a background check, drug screen and physical at the Village's expense.
