Position Details

The Silver Star Protection Group is looking for Illinois Law Enforcement officers either Active or Retired to utilize their skills in a professional security setting.

Employees must be able to: 

• Provide quality customer service.
• Possess the ability to stand, sit or walk for extended periods of time.
• Be alert at assigned post at all times to ensure personal safety.
• Perform assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
• Monitor various activities on and around assigned post.
• Practice all safety rules and procedures, at assigned post, as established by Silver Star Protection Group to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
• Report activities and irregularities by submitting a daily activity report (DAR) Information needs to include observations, unusual occurrences, presence of unauthorized persons on property, equipment and or property damage, and theft.
• Monitor CCTV system if applicable.
• Possess the ability and willingness to receive cross-training on all contracted posts which will assist department and client leadership during an emergency incident.

You must pass a background check in order to be hired.

Current Law Enforcement officers require an Active Police ID and FOID Card.

Retired Law Enforcement Officers require IROCC Card, FOID Card, and PERC Card.
