  • CERTIFIED OFFICERS with prior police experience, may be considered for salary placement up to Step 3 ($88,478), in which case the OFFICER will advance to the next Step on their next anniversary date.
  • ENTRY LEVEL - $72,757 based on a 40-hour work week

Position Details

The Village of Schaumburg is now hiring for Police Officer!

All candidates must take the FrontLine National Exam through National Testing Network prior to the application deadline. All applicants must also submit an electronic application with the Village of Schaumburg.

In accordance with Illinois State Statute, the Board of Fire and Police Commission hires certified candidates ahead of non-certified candidates.

The Board of Fire and Police Commission will accept applications and test results until they determine an adequate number of applications have been received.

Applicants, at such time as they file their application with this board, must be at least 21 years of age. Applicants shall be under 35 years of age, at the time of application and at such time as the final eligibility list is posted, unless exempt from such age limitation as provided in Section 5/10-2.1-6 of the Fire and Police Commissioner's Act.

Qualifications:

• Valid Driver's License
• Valid POWER Card dated after 12/31/2021 (entry-level candidates only)
