The Kankakee Police Department serves the citizens of Kankakee, Illinois, a community of approximately 26,000 residents and is located 60 miles south of Chicago. The Police Department has 64 Officers and generates and responds to approximately 65,000 calls for service every year.

All applicants must be present at Orientation to take test at 6:30 PM

Written Test Application Process:

All applicants must complete the following application prior to testing by 5:00 PM June 10, 2022. No applications will be accepted after the deadline on June 10th.

POWER TEST (Physical Fitness test) Requirement:

No Power Test will be given at the testing site. It is the applicant's responsibility to obtain a POWER Test Card. POWER Test cost on an average of $25.00 to $50.00 Applicants are responsible for the cost of the POWER Test. All applicants must have a valid Power Test Card. The POWER Test must have been taken less than one year from June 15, 2022.
