Position Details
The Board of Fire and Police Commissioners, City of Ottawa, IL is accepting applications to establish a Police Patrolman Register.
Applicants must:
- Be 21 years of age and under 35 years of age as of June 23, 2022.
- Be in excellent physical health and be of good moral character.
- Have a valid driver's license
- Be a United States citizen
- Have a high school diploma from an accredited institution or equivalent. The Board reserves the right to determine the sufficiency of the high school diploma or its equivalent.
- CANDIDATES MUST HAVE A VALID POWER CARD (issued in previous 12 months) ISSUED BY JOLIET JUNIOR COLLEGE (JJC) AT TIME A POSITION IS OFFERED. CANDIDATES MUST CONTACT JJC AT 815-280-2674 TO SCHEDULE THE POWER TEST OR WWW.JJC.EDU/POWERTESTING. COST OF TESTING IS AT CANDIDATE'S EXPENSE.
The Board will begin the testing process with a MANDATORY orientation immediately preceding the written exam on:
July 14, 2022 promptly at 5:30 PM

FAILURE TO ATTEND THIS ORIENTATION WILL PREVENT PROCEEDING FURTHER IN THE APPLICATION PROCESS.

July 14, 2022 immediately following the orientation
Candidates that receive a score of 70% or greater will be scheduled for an oral interview on August 1, 2022.
