Position Details
All applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:
U.S. citizenship at the time of application
No felony convictions or misdemeanor convictions involving moral turpitude, as specified in 65 ILCS 5/10-2.1-6
High school diploma or High school equivalency/G.E.D. Certificate
Valid State-issued driver's license
Minimum of 21 years of age at the time of application
Must possess a part-time or full-time Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board (ILETSB) police officer certification and have previously been a part-time or full-time sworn officer of a regular police department in any municipal, county, university, or State law enforcement agency in the State of Illinois. ILETSB Certification must be currently in good standing, and it is preferred that applicant not have been out of law enforcement for a period of more than three (3 years) and subject to ILETSB approval.
Will be required to complete an oral interview, background investigation, psychological, and physical examination, including drug testing
