* Experienced Operators with less than seven years of experience will receive a pay step for every two (complete) years of experience in a certified 911 dispatching center.
Additional pay increases will occur on an annual basis from date of hire.

The City of Aurora has opened testing and is accepting applications for the position of Telecommunications Operator.

Under the direction of the Lead Telecommunications Operator, performs duties including the operation of a two-way radio/telephone to dispatch emergency personnel.
Duties of this position include but are not limited to:
Must have the ability to complete licensing requirements, speak clearly, work in a stressful environment, and multitask. Required to work rotating shifts during training. This position may require you to work the first, second, or third shift, including weekends and holidays.
