Security Guard Job Summary:

Protect property from theft and damage to persons from hazards and interference by ensuring that potential emergent safety and security violations are reported to proper authorities. This is a union position with a probationary period of 6 months.

Promotional Line: Guard Supervisor

Security Officer Job Summary:

Involved in the performance or supervision of protective services work consisting of guarding the UIC campus buildings, perform asset protection and public safety duties. This is a union position with a probationary period of 6 months.

Promotional Line: Security Sergeant

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED (both positions)
• No Felony or Conviction (both positions)
• Valid Drivers License (SO)
• PERC Card (SO)
• 12 months of experience (SO)
