Position Details

THE BYRON FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT IS SEEKING HIGHLY MOTIVATED PARAMEDICS TO HELP SERVE OUR COMMUNITY.

The EMT-Paramedic's primary responsibility is to provide advanced medical care and transportation of both residents and non-residents at the EMT-Paramedic (EMT-P) level, as outlined by Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) and Region One Emergency Medical Services Standing Medical Orders.

EMT-Paramedic Qualifications:

• State EMT-P License
• CPR Certified
• 18 years of age minimum
• Valid Illinois driver's license
• Successful completion of:
• Pre-employment drug screen
• Interview
• Background check
• Physical examination
