Firefighter/Paramedic Minimum Requirements:

• US Citizenship
• No Felony Convictions
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Valid Driver's License
• 21 to 35 years of age by date of hire unless otherwise exempt by statute
• IDPH Paramedic License at time of appointment
• Valid CPAT and Ladder Climb certification no more than one year from the date of the exam. Must be dated 11/19/2021 – 11/19/2022

Orientation & Written Exam Information:

Candidates must attend the mandatory orientation and written examination on:

Sign-in begins at 8:00 AM. Please arrive no later than 8:30 AM with a photo ID (driver's license, state ID, military ID) to sign-in.

Test will be held at:

Candidates who required ADA accommodations must contact IOS Recruitment at least two weeks prior to the written exam date.

All portions of the testing process are mandatory. Failure to attend and successfully complete any portion of the process will result in elimination from employment consideration.
