The Village of Durand is home to approximately 1,500 residents and located in Northern Illinois near the Wisconsin boarder. The Village of Durand Police Department is committed to exceeding the needs of its residence and embraces community policing strategies. We are a growing community and so to would like to grow our police department staff to serve all who live, work and visit our charming community.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid Illinois Law Enforcement Officer certificate from the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board and have been a Law Enforcement Officer within the past three years
• Applicant must be in good standing with the Police Department they are serving/have served
• Must have no felony convictions and be of good moral character
• Possess a valid Illinois Drivers license
• Possess a valid Illinois FOID card 

Must comply and successfully complete:

Pre-employment screenings which may include, interview(s), extensive background check and post conditional offer screenings which may include physical and psychological testing.
