Position Details

The Village of Mokena is accepting resumes for the position of Administrative Assistant to the Chief of Police.

This position is designed to provide executive level administrative and clerical support by working with and for the Chief of Police.

The successful candidate should possess an Associate Degree accompanied by additional college level course work or prior executive level secretarial experience in either the private or public sector.

Additional desired qualifications include, but are not limited to, excellent oral and written communication skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel and PowerPoint, along with Adobe InDesign or Microsoft Publisher.

Responsibilities require that this individual possess a high degree of motivation, independence, and creativity, as well as a sound working knowledge of modern technology and systems in place in police administration.

Executive support functions are rendered directly to the Chief of Police with supplemental executive support to the Police Commanders.
