Position Details

911 Radio Communications Operator

Hickory Hills Police Department

Consolidated Dispatch Center 

Police, Fire & EMS dispatching for the following Agencies:

• Hickory Hills PD
• Bedford Park PD
• Summit PD & FD
• Hometown FD 

Call taking (911 and non-emergency), Radio and CAD dispatching

Hours:

Monday thru Sunday

8 hour Shifts (2245, 0645 and 1445 – selected by seniority)

Overtime if available/ when necessary

Days Off:

Weekends, holidays, and varying days off

Requirements: 

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license
• Fluent in English
• Candidate Interview
• Pass background investigation
• Pass physical examination, to include vision and hearing test
• Pass drug screening
