Position Details

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO APPLY:

• Education: minimum of H.S. diploma or GED
• Age: Age 21 at time of written exam (08/24/2019) with a H.S. diploma or GED or age 20 with 2 years of college course work in Fire Science or related field
• EMT-B Certification (or proof you are currently enrolled in an EMT-B course. Please note: you must have your EMT-B license by the date the eligibility list is created (approx. November 2019)
• No felony convictions and good moral character
• No residency requirement
• Valid Illinois Driver's License
• Valid CPAT card with ladder climb issued on or after August 24, 2018.
• $20 non-refundable application fee

SELECTION PROCESS:

The selection process includes an orientation, written exam, fingerprinted background investigation, oral interviews, psychological exam, polygraph, and a medical exam and drug screening.

Orientation and Written Exam is scheduled for:

Saturday, August 24, 2019 at 8:00 a.m.
