• Starting: $78,165 (Negotiable based on experience and qualifications)

  Current Top Salary: $102,586 (As of 5/1/21; new contract under negotiation)

Two Immediate Vacancies

The South Barrington Police Department is looking for exceptional police officers interested in joining its ranks!

We are pleased to be able to recently promote one officer to Sergeant due to a retirement and add another Detective to our staff. Moving these two officers to further their careers in the Department allows us the opportunity to hire two more officers to join our solid team.

Our standards and expectations are high. We offer the opportunity to join a professional police department performing its work with honor, integrity and respect in a community that appreciates its police officers.

Requirements:

• At least 23 years old
• United States citizen
• High school diploma
• Valid driver's license
• Currently a full-time sworn police officer with an Illinois law enforcement agency with at least two years of service. (Part-time certification does not meet this requirement)

• Police Commission interview
