  • $24.41/hour (Full-Time as of 5/1/23)
  • $22.39/hour (Part-Time & School Resource Officer) 

  All positions are covered under a Metropolitan Alliance of Police Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Position Details

The City of Earlville Police Department is seeking qualified applicants to fill the position of Full-Time and Part-Time Police Officer, and School Resource Officer with the Police Department.

School Resource Officer:

• Monday - Friday 7:30 - 3:30 schedule
• Is a part-time position so you do not HAVE to work the street when school is out of session if you do not want to.
• Covered under the Collective Bargaining Agreement
• K-12 all in one campus
• School Administration and Staff that are VERY supportive of law enforcement 

Requirements: 

• US Citizen
• Possess a valid drivers license
• High School Diploma or GED
• Must be 21 years of age
• Graduate of a State of Illinois basic recruit academy and meets requirements for Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board for Certified Police Officer
• Must not have been convicted of a Felony.
• SRO needs to have, or will be sent to, SRO certification training
