We are looking for current or recently retired police officers to fill the Marine Unit Positions

The Wauconda Police Department is currently taking applications for the position of Part-Time Sworn Marine Unit Police Officers.

The Wauconda Police Department Marine Unit is responsible for the enforcement of Illinois Law and Wauconda Village Ordinances applicable to the operation and safety of watercraft and motorized vehicles on Bangs Lake. Enforcement and community policing occurs year around on and around Bangs Lake. Marine Unit Officers participate in a variety of special events within the Village of Wauconda throughout the year.
