TITLE:
Juvenile Detention Specialist
RESPONSIBLE TO:
Supervisors
Supervising at risk youth held in Detention for the safety and security of both the youth and community. The workweek is based on a calendar week, starting on Sunday and ending on Saturday. The Kane County Juvenile Justice Center is a 24-7 facility and has varied shifts including a midnight shift. Shifts could include working days, evenings, overnights, weekends and holidays.
Bachelor of Arts or Science Degree
In addition to the minimum qualifications, the successful applicant will have demonstrated ability in the following skills:
Applicants will be subject to a criminal history background check before an offer of employment is made. A Hiring List of potential candidates will be compiled and kept for 5 months.
